Description

Questionooze is an innovative application that allows users to generate questionnaires by uploading lecture slides in PDF or PPT format. Using generative AI, specifically OpenAI's model, the platform creates questions aligned with Bloom's Taxonomy, making it an effective tool for educators and learners.

Problem

Manually creating questions from lectures or educational materials is time-consuming and often inconsistent in terms of learning outcomes. There was a need for an automated solution to streamline this process while ensuring high-quality question generation based on educational standards like Bloom's Taxonomy.

Technical Details

The application leverages OpenAI's GPT models to analyze uploaded files and generate questions. It features a sleek user interface built with React and Tailwind CSS, and uses Supabase for database management and file storage. The backend processes files and generates questions in real time, ensuring a smooth user experience.

My Role

I was responsible for developing the AI-powered backend, integrating OpenAI's GPT models, and implementing file upload functionality. Additionally, I ensured the generated questions adhered to Bloom's Taxonomy and worked on optimizing the user experience for educators.

Challenges

One major challenge was fine-tuning the question-generation process to align with Bloom's Taxonomy levels effectively. Handling large file uploads and ensuring the AI could process them efficiently was another key technical hurdle.
